January 25th: Wednesday
Daily Agenda:
- Make-up work turned in? Have you checked Aeries to ensure all work for your absence is recorded? Please report any discrepancies by Monday if a change is needed!
- Review Adverb questions: how? when? where? to what extent? Work on review activity of the difference between words that could be identified on our preposition list or that could be an adverb that answers “Where?”. Remember, a preposition has to have an object (noun/pronoun) that follows it. An adverb will not have an object and just describe the verb. See page 12 for info and examples and complete page 13 of the Adverb packet with me.
- Review precision of MLA format for citations. Review types of literary devices: simile, metaphor, personification, onomatopoeia, and idioms. Record minimally 2 per chapter of Charlotte Doyle for an average grade.
- Read Charlotte Doyle chapter 7. Share literary devices found and edit our responses for precise format!
Homework:
- Review Cornell notes (We’ve been doing so since prior to winter vacation!) for our final.
- Final Exam Semester One Info (Originally, this was distributed on January 12th.)
- Get a good night’s sleep, eat breakfast, bring many sharpened pencils and erasers, and be prepared for final!
